Online dating has become increasingly popular in recent years, offering a convenient platform for people to connect and potentially find love or companionship. However, this digital landscape is not without its fair share of challenges. Here are some of the key hurdles individuals often encounter when navigating the world of online dating:

Crafting your profile within dating applications is integral to the matchmaking experience.
Research shows that users, especially men, struggle with presenting the best version of themselves digitally.
Men believe their online dating presence is a major reason for not finding their ideal partner.
Online dating has become increasingly popular.
It offers a convenient platform for people to connect and find love or companionship.
Challenges in the world of online dating include:

- A focus on appearance over qualities.

- Difficulty in getting matches.

- An imbalance in gender ratios with twice as many men.

- Incomplete profiles.

- Inactive users.

- The perception of looking better in photos than in real life.

- Men have to deal with catfishing and fake profiles.

- For women, just 3/4 first dates result in second dates, making the odds of a bad date even higher for men.

Challenges

Intro

To Improve Online Dating Experience for Men:

The primary objective of this project was to utilize Generative AI to address the problem and create a more functional app.

- Allow individuals to showcase their personalities beyond physical appearances.

- Introduce SwipeRight.io, a personalized learning assistant, which coaches users on optimizing their profiles.

- Provide recommendations and feedback for each part of the user's profile.

- Coach users to optimize their profile format for their desired audience, clarifying that AI is not replacing their personality but guiding the process

Surveys

Develop surveys for potential app users. Ask about their online dating experiences, issues, and desired improvements. Use both closed and open questions for data collection.

User Interviews

Conduct one-on-one interviews with 20 users to gain deeper insights into their experiences, needs, and preferences. Explore their behaviors, motivations, and frustrations related to online dating

Competitor Analysis

Our research shows that Hing is the leading dating app, with about 90% market usage. We've also examined other popular dating apps to assess their features and strengths.

Questions to address with the prototype.

Information Architecture (IA)

Utilizing the white paper and initial sketch, depict the points of user interaction within the AI solution. Provide a comprehensive explanation of the underlying processes, data sources, and the final outcomes delivered to the user.

Take into account potential deviations from the intended user path or external factors that could influence the interaction flow.

Furthermore, consider the acquisition or creation of necessary data. Determine whether specific data definitions are required for the system's operation and assess the availability of such data. Address the critical points in the flow where data plays a pivotal role. These are the concerns and questions I have endeavored to address.
